Our residents are children and youth who are eligible for regional center services and require enhanced behavioral support, often including around-the-clock supervision, due to neurodevelopmental conditions and frequently other co-occurring challenges. These may include autism spectrum disorder, mood or anxiety disorders, impulse-control disorders, and other oppositional and disruptive behaviors that impact daily functioning.
Our homes provide a wide range of services designed to promote the development of adaptive skills, such as communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, and daily living abilities. Our support is individualized to meet each resident’s unique needs, with a focus on personal growth and long-term well-being. Services include behavior intervention strategies, skill-building activities, therapeutic support, and collaborative care planning involving families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary professionals.
We particularly value working with children’s families and support systems in the wider community using a multisystem family approach. This approach recognizes the importance of involving multiple systems of care, including families, schools, healthcare providers, community services, and peer networks, to create a comprehensive and coordinated support network for the child.
Additionally, we emphasize building high-quality interpersonal relationships within our staff teams, as these relationships create a supportive environment where positive behavior modeling and reinforcement can effectively take place. Key elements of such relationships include openness, enjoyable activities, flexibility, appropriate humor, and enthusiasm, allowing individuals to express their opinions, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment. High-quality professional relationships are further characterized by emotional warmth, and trust contributing to a foundation of safety, support, and personal growth for both staff and residents.
