DSP
Direct Support Professional I and IIDirect Support Professional (DSP)
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) training program is required for all direct support staff working in licensed community care facilities. The DSP training focuses on core skills essential for effective job performance and quality care delivery, such as: Communication techniques, Emotional regulation strategies, Daily living support methods, Compassionate, person-centered care. Other training opportunities include person centered care, trauma-informed care, mental health support, and adaptive reasoning, all grounded in principles of cognitive and behavioral therapy. Psychological Assessments
Dr. Azizian is a certified trainer in multiple risk assessment instruments and regularly conducts certification training for various agencies. He also conducts forensic evaluations that are broadly related to danger to self or to others using range of psychological assessments, including intelligence and adaptive functioning assessments. Staff members interested in forensic psychology careers will have the opportunity to be considered for shadowing and potentially attending specialized training sessions in assessment of risk.
